Trip Reports

In this section you will find interesting tips and pointers on how to plan a motorcycle trip.

STEP 1: PREPARE YOUR MOTORCYCLE

Preparing your motorcycle starts with regular maintenance. Many of us don't realize that there is more to it than just regular oil change and gasing up... things to keep in mind are: when was the last time you checked your brake fluid, break lines, tire shred, chain and ... well, you get the point. This is your first step. Make sure your motorcycle mechanics are in top shape before you head out for your next adventure.

Another aspect to take under consideration are many optional accessories which can improve your riding comfort in different conditions. Such accessories could be:
• extra plugs (ex: for GPS or CB radio)
• heated handles
• extended visor
• automatic chain oiler

STEP 2: CLOTHING

To improve your safety while riding a motorcycle, you should really invest in protective clothing. We see these days so many motorcyclists riding in jeans and just a t-shirt on not realizing the danger they face if they fall down.
The gear consists of a jacket, gloves, pants, boots and of course a helmet. You should research different types of gear materials that suit best your needs (leather jacket vs nylon, Kevlar or even plastic armour if planning on doing off road riding).
